How we work

We are an online community of kind-hearted individuals who directly donate gently loved children's clothes to mothers who could use a little kindness. The wonderful donating mothers lovingly box up the clothes that they once loved their own kiddos in and send them for another mother to love on her children via the US Mail - Parcel Post. If you are in need, know someone in need or want to help by donating, please contact us at If you can't do any of these but would like to spread our message - thank you kindly! ~ Elizabeth & Heather

Giving Thanks With a Giveaway!

Please note: If this is your first time visiting our blog, please click here to hear the premise of Pass It On, Baby! and how it all began.... Pass It On, Baby!

Our Pass It On, Baby! community of kindness is built upon the foundation of helping another out, however we can. Although we have only been actively connecting mothers who are blessed with mothers who are stressed for a little over 2 months now, we have had a number of individuals who have helped us tremendously along the way. We want to recognize you all as well and thank you. Now it's our turn to give a little back to all of you. So we thought we would do a contest giveaway. Before we share the details of the contest - first - here are the thanks we'd like to share.

  • Thanks to a soon-to-be mother who has helped at least five families each with brand new clothes...
  • Thanks to a wonderful woman who shared our message on her popular blog without asking anything for herself and even donated to two families
  • Thanks to the mothers who received items who wrote us to share their feelings and include all of us on their journey
  • Thanks to all the mothers themselves in need who offered the clothes they did have for their children
  • Thanks to all the mom bloggers who have taken the time to share this whole world of blogging to us as we didn't have a clue where to begin
  • Thanks to those who took our message and spread some kindness in the world by passing it along
  • Thanks to our little angels who put us up on Craigslist and helped us to reach even more people
  • Thanks to all our cheerleaders who kept us going when we got scared and doubted ourselves....
  • Thank you to our husbands and families who have given up countless hours with us while we built this. Thank you for your love, support and guidance.
  • Thank YOU - each person that reads our blog, each person that has been willing to give or receive the love that this little community has had to offer.

So in order to give back thanks, here is the giveaway contest info.

Nicole's For Children is a wonderful boutique located in Powell, Ohio where Elizabeth lives. When Pass It On, Baby! was launched, we contacted Nicole about possibly getting the word out through some advertising. She immediately responded with much more than we ever expected. She offered help, donations and even donated time on behalf of her family. So, its our time to say thanks. We know there are many of you kind-hearted individuals who read our blog, but we just haven't heard from you. So, here is your chance....We are going to pick one reader who can comment on anything and everything they like...advice, how they have passed it along, things they'd like to see, how they give back, get creative if you want - we just want to hear from you! We are giving away a $50 gift certificate to Nicole's For Children ( to use on anything you'd like. It is a wonderful boutique run by a wonderful woman. Even if you don't win, take a minute to check out her offerings. We will keep the contest open until Sunday July 5th and will have a 3rd party pick the winner. We will announce the winner on Monday July 6th. Good luck! =) And once again - thank you!

In love & kindness,

  1. Heather and Elizabeth,

I just LOVE this cause. I am constantly checking your sidebar for updated needs and got so excited when I saw one I could finally fill recently. Thank you for your selfless giving to orchestrate such a worthwhile purpose. The world is a better place because of you both. :)

  2. I love how down to earth you are. I easily see myself in your shoes and it blesses me greatly to see your ministry blossom! I have so many times in past years been a mom on the receving end of clothes offerings, it feels good to find a trustworthy place to be on the donating end. I love the personal touch of a letter and knowing where it all went. Brillant idea. ...I will continue to cheer and clap and pass on this site.
    Love still never fails.

  3. How fun! Thanks for offering this...You gals do great work!! I have boy infant clothes at home in storage and am just waiting for word on what you need from me...I am honored to be able to participate in such a worthy cause!

    Happy 4th of July!! Stefanie

  4. I know you know this, but we love you guys! -Rachel

  5. I love being able to help out in any way that we can- I want to teach our children how important giving and ministering to others, so when they're older, It's a natural part of who they are- we had a wonderful time boxing up clothes and shoes together- talking about where they're going and why we're doing the project! This is one of several ministry projects we're doing this summer :) Thank you ladies for starting Pass It On Baby- you are touching and making a difference in so many lives!!
    Suzanne and the kiddos!

  6. When Heather 1st announced PIOB I thought this was a FANTASTIC idea! As a mom of 2 I constantly have clothes to pass along, and have been doing so with family & friends for a while now. It's nice to be able to help others!

FYI - I've got girls 3T-4T fall/winter if you find someone that needs!

  7. I think we need to be saying thanks to you girls too. Without your motovation this site would not be here. I hope I can help out again. :) Happy 4th

  8. Wow! Thanks for the giveaway! You guys are glad you came up with Pass it On Baby! It feels so good to give!

  9. Thanks for the giveaway...but more than that THANKS for all that you do for others! You inspire me to do more!

  10. This site is such a fabulous idea and hope it keeps "passing it on"!! I'm sure in no time it will be amazing to see all the lives that have been touched by it both on the receiving and giving ends!!

  11. I was browsing the sacramento craigslist, looking at clothes and toys that I could only wish I could afford for my kids (I just love looking at Gymboree!!)and checking out free items that were available since I was going that way, when I came across the posting for Pass It On Baby!. I had never heard of such a thing, so I was very excited to check it out. It has been a tough two years for my family, we have run the gammut from being unemployed to nearly being homeless to being harrassed by the manager of our trailer court and her family. I have had so much stress that I have gained 10 lbs. and my hair is falling out. I also have a friend who is having a hard time. When I checked out Pass It On, I discovered an opportunity to not just help my children but my friend and her children as well. Thank you for your help and for your quick responses!! Sharlene Dunn--Oroville CA

  12. Congratulations to you both! You have created something very magnificent here! I have the pleasure of knowing Elizabeth, and what you see here is just a small part of what a special and wonderful women she is! She surrounds herself with positive, spirited people; Which means, even though I don't know Heather personally, I'm sure she is amazing as well! Simply stated, This blog gives people hope. In a world that is bombarded with negativity, this little blog site that could, pushed it's way into the homes of many of us, like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day! You not only help families in need, you help me. You have really incited some thought provoking conversation in our home. My children, my husband, and myself are continually touched by the stories that are written. I thank you both everyday for your wonderful commentary! You offer help without judgement or payback. From someone who has needed help at one point, I can say that judgement can be what keeps people from wanting to reach out for help. Some are too proud or embarresed to ask. This has become more of a community than a blog. There is a warmth that comes from the shared stories. It feels safe. There is a quote by Jesse Jackson that I read once and love. It says: "Never look down on anybody unless you're helping them up." You help people up! God Bless you both! Continue to do wonderful things for the world! We will continue to share in your adventure!

    The Reverend Jesse Jackson
